New legal framework governing Klaipėda Port charges enters into force – Port Infrastructure Fee takes effect from July 1
As of July 1, 2026, new legal acts come into force revising the regulation of port dues at the Klaipėda State Seaport. The fees previously known as port dues will now be officially referred to as the Port Infrastructure Charge.
The new charge will be calculated on the basis of two legal acts:
- Order of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Lithuania “On the Approval of the Procedure for Calculating the Klaipėda State Seaport Infrastructure Charge” (2026-06-30, No. 3-306): https://e-tar.lt/portal/lt/legalAct/d870c511747911f1b53dfa020e517810
- Order of the Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration “On the Approval of the Rates of the Klaipėda State Seaport Infrastructure Charge” (2026-06-30, No. 2BE-95): https://e-tar.lt/portal/lt/legalAct/51b64094746a11f1b53dfa020e517810
With the new legal acts entering into force, the previous Klaipėda State Seaport Authority’s due application procedure, approved by Order No. V-236 of December 27, 2022, is repealed: https://portofklaipeda.lt/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Rinkliavu-taisykles-patvirtintos-2022-12-27-KVJUD-isak.-Nr.-V-236.pdf
It is important to note that the charge amounts remain unchanged – only the name and the underlying legal framework are changing at the moment.
