Main development projects

  • Dredging of the harbour water area up to 17.5 m.
  • Creation of new areas in the southern and northern parts of the port.
  • Increase the capacity of the port’s rail and road access roads.

Port development up to 2030

The objective of the development is to enable the expansion of cargo terminals with the possibility to provide value-added services and to accommodate BALTMAX vessels with maximum parameters, i.e., up to 430 m in length (eventually up to 490 m), up to 60 m in beam (eventually up to 70 m), and up to a gauge of 15,5 m.

The development aims to create a maritime infrastructure that meets the needs of the future market and provides opportunities for new value-adding investors to settle, leading to maritime competitiveness of the port, the city, and the country.
