
Goal
The Port of Klaipėda, together with its partners, is among the first forty regions in Europe selected to participate in the EU-funded project “Pathways2Resilience: Co-developing Pathways Towards Climate Resilient Regions in Europe” (P2R).
The goal of this initiative is to strengthen regional resilience to climate change and accelerate adaptation to new environmental conditions.
The primary objective of this project is to assist regions and communities across Europe in developing and implementing strategies to enhance their resilience to climate change. Additionally, this project plays a significant role in the European Union’s mission for climate adaptation.

Funding
The P2R project is funded under the Horizon Europe research and innovation program, specifically through the project “Missions, Climate Change Adaptation HORIZON-MISS-2021-CLIMA-02-02 – Support to the regions in developing pathways towards climate resilience and corresponding innovation agendas”, under Grant Agreement No. 101093942. A total budget of €210,000 has been allocated for the implementation of the project. The Port Authority has been granted €50,000 in EU funding to cover salary costs and strategy development expenses.
