The new half-year record in Klaipeda Seaport

Pursuant to the  data as of the 8th of  July of the current year the cargo handling turnover in Klaipeda Seaport in June of 2016 dropped down by 1,8 pct.  or by 60,5 thou. tn to 3,23  mln tn comparing with June  of 2015.

Within the period of January – June of the current year 19,93 mln tn of cargo, i.e. more by 5,7 pct. or by 1 069,2 thou. tn comparing with corresponding period of 2015 were handled in the Seaport of Klaipeda. It is the best half-year period within the entire history of Klaipeda Seaport.  It is more by 1,4 pct. or by 274,7 thou. tn comparing with the II-nd  half-year period of 2015. (19,65 mln tn were handled).

Year-on-year changes of the overall turnover  in June of 2016 according to cargo types:

• General cargo – 1 008,1 thou. tn were handled, -0,3 pct. or -2,8 thou. tn yoy;
• Liquid cargo – 1 036,8  thou. tn were handled, +21,4 pct. or +182,5 thou. tn yoy;
• Dry and bulk cargo – 1 188,6 thou. tn were handled, -16,8 pct.  or -240,2 thou. tn yoy.
