The longest in the port history container ship „MSC Nikita“ entered Klaipeda Seaport on 13-15th of August 2009.
On the 13th of August the longest in the entire Port history containership „MSC Nikita“, 257,48 metres in length, 30,6 metres in breadth and with maximum draught of 10,98 metres, moored at quay No.82 operated by LKAB „Klaipedos Smelte“. The ship whose shipping agency is „MSC Vilnius“ sails Panama flag.
584 containers were loaded and 374 containers discharged from the ship „MSC Nikita“ piloted in Klaipeda Seaport by Aleksas Bucys, the chief harbour pilot of Vessel Traffic Service of Klaipeda State Seaport Authority and Aleksandras Berankis – the 1st class pilot.
The container ship „MSC Nikita“ left Klaipeda Seaport on the 15the of August, 2009 in the morning under favourable weather conditions.
