Meeting of Lithuanian and Belorussian Transport Group at the Port of Klaipeda

We have the pleasure to invite media representatives wishing to get information on the issues considered and decisions made at the meeting of Lithuanian and Belarussian Transport Group to take place on 13 July 2006, 11:15 a.m. at the State Enterprise Klaipeda State Seaport Authority (J. Janonio g. 24, grand hall, second floor).
The meeting results will be presented by Arvydas Vaitkus, Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and the Head of the Belarusian Working Group Nesterovich Aleksandr Alekseievich, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus.
The meeting of the Lithuanian and Belarusian Working Group to take place at the State Enterprise Klaipeda State Seaport Authority office 12 – 13 July will discuss about implementation of the previous meeting protocol decisions and optimization of amounts and conditions of transportation of Belarussian cargoes via Klaipeda port.
Representatives of the Lithuanian and Belarusian Working Group, having coordinated the potential flows of Belarussian cargoes at the Klaipeda State Seaport, agreed to proceed with work for the purpose of turnover increase at the port in 2006 – 2007.
Due to the cooperation of the parties the turnover of the Belarussian potassium fertilizers at the Klaipeda State Seaport was continuously rising throughout 2002 – 2005: 2002 figure was 774 000 tons, 2003 – 827 000 t, 2004 – 1 117 000 t, 2005 – 1 306 000 t.
