International Freight Transport and Logistics Exhibition TransRussia 2006 – long-standing and significant event

The eleventh International Freight Transport and Logistics Exhibition TransRussia 2006 took place in Moscow, Russia, in 20-23 March this year. In the joint Lithuanian exposition as in earlier exhibitions participated the major and most actively involved in Russian market freight, transport and forwarding companies of Klaipeda Port and the Klaipeda State Seaport Authority together with AB „Lietuvos geležinkeliai“ (Lithuanian Railways), Lithuanian National Road Carriers Association Linava, Customs Department. The exhibition TransRussia remains the biggest and most important regional event related to transportation, which affords opportunities to enter into new contacts with potential cargo owners as well as with forwarding and transport companies, meet the existing customers, have direct discussions and learn about the developments and trends in the business. It goes without saying that the positive image of Klaipeda Port remains an important issue in one of the leading port market.
Over 200 experts of freight transport companies, railways, ports, research institutions and other enterprises from Russia and abroad participated in the two-day conference where issues related to the state and business partnership, development of railway transportation, international cooperation, essential aspects of the situation in the Baltic region transport and service market, development of transit freight transport from South-Eastern Asia and other issues were discussed.
