Execution of Fencing Works of Railroads to Berths No. 3, 4

It is planned to finalize fencing works of railroads to berths No.3,4 on 15 December 2005.

 

In order to ensure safety of the inhabitants of Klaipėda, pathway entrance from Švyturio str. to į Burių str. will be closed as far as intensive stevedoring works and constant railroad traffic are taking place in the closed territory.

 

According to the information earlier provided by SE KSSA technical design of passenger bridge was under preparation. The solutions of the design were presented to the Municipality of Klaipėda. It is planned to start the construction of this bridge in the Ist quarter of the year 2006 and to finish the construction in the summer of the same year.

 

Passenger bridge will be as alternative for the previous pathway entrance from Švyturio str. to į Burių str. After the fencing works are completed, it will not be possible to use former passenger pathway any more.
