54-th International Marine Tourism Show in Hamburg
The 54-th International Marine Tourism Show „Hanseboot 2013“ was organized in Hamburg on the 26th of October – the 3rd of November, 2013.
The Port Authority participated in this exhibition under the project „MARRIAGE“ in the framework of the Southern Baltic Cooperation program of European Territorial Cooperation Objective 2007-2013.
This exhibition has been organized since 1961. „Composite parts“ of marine tourism, like recreational boats, yachts, canoes, spare parts of these floating units, accessories and equipment, targeted informative literature, insurance, windsurfing equipment and diverse related services (boat chartering/hiring ) are presented in this show.
The key goal of participation in this event is to promote the marine tourism in Klaipėda region.
The Port Authority participated in the joint stand of the project MARRIAGE covering 80 square metres, where all the project partners presented themselves.
Visitors of the exhibition got acquainted with both presently operating small recreational ports (marinas) and ports that are going to be constructed in future.
The Port Authority is planning to participate in this show next year as well.
Statistics
In 2012 the total exhibition space was 27 615 square metres, 631 exhibitors from 20 countries participated in the exhibition that was attended by 78 454 visitors.
