Visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Commerce of Turkey in Klaipėda

On the 9th of April 2008 (on Wednesday) the official delegation of Turkey will meet the representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communication and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and the Minister-Counsellor of Lithuanian Embassy in Turkey Ričardas Šlepavičius, and later on they will participate in business seminar in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania.

 

The second day of the visit, on April 10, 2008 (on Thursday), Turkish delegation, accompanied by the representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania, will visit Klaipėda.

 

 Presently they plan to visit Klaipėda Free Economic Zone and SE Klaipėda State Seaport Authority. Heads of Klaipėda State Seaport Authority, presidents of the Association of Lithuanian Stevedoring companies, Forwarders association, and Lithuanian ship brokers and agents association, heads of Klaipėda chamber of industry, crafts and trade and UAB „Arijus“ will take part at the meeting in port authority and the possibilities of Klaipėda port, its capacities, present infrastructure and plans and perspectives of its development as well as port development plans will be presented.  

 

After the meeting in the port authority, the members of delegation will have the possibility to take part in a ship tour around the port, see its present infrastructure and superstructure from a ship „Forrelle“.
