The largest in the history of Klaipėda Port amount of dry cargo was carried from the Port

In the beginning of October of 2013 the bulk carrier „Doric Champion“ with 77 thousand tons of bulk ore (metal granules) onboard left the Seaport of Klaipeda. Such amount of cargo loaded by cargo grabs (dry cargo) has never been handled in Klaipėda Port before.

Beam – 38 metres,
Maximum draught – 14.92 metres,
Agency services– UAB „Euroga“,

The bulk carrier was berthed at quays No. 8-9 operated by JS Klaipėda Stevedoring Company (KLASCO).
