Review of Cargo Handling in Klaipeda Seaport, at Butingės Terminal and Other Eastern Coast Baltic Seaports

Within the period of January – July of 2017 Klaipeda Seaport cargo handling turnover increased by 3,4 pct. to 24,02 mln tn, i.e.  more by 791,9 thou. tn comparing with the corresponding period of 2016.

Year-on-year changes of overall turnover according to cargo types:

• Liquid cargo – 6 365,3 thou. tn were handled, -13,0 pct. or – 951,3 thou. tn yoy;
• General cargo – 6 990,6 thou. tn were handled, – 3,2 pct. or – 231,6,0 thou. tn yoy;
• Dry and bulk cargo – 10 664,3 thou. tn were handled, +22,7 pct. or +1 974,9 thou. tn yoy.
