Review of Cargo Handling in Klaipeda Seaport, at Butingės Terminal and Other Eastern Coast Baltic Seaports

In January of 2017 Klaipeda Seaport cargo handling turnover dropped down by 0,1 pct. to  3,41 mln tn, i.e.  less by 2,35 thou. tn comparing with the corresponding period of 2016. It is the second best cargo handling result achieved in January within the period of entire history of Klaipeda Seaport.

Year-on-year changes of overall turnover  according to cargo types:

• Liquid cargo – 942,7 thou. tn were handled, -15,8 pct. or -176,9 thou. tn yoy;
• General cargo – 956,1  thou. tn were handled, +12,7 pct. or +107,8 thou. tn yoy;
• Dry and bulk cargo – 1 507,3 thou. tn were handled, +4,6 pct. or +66,8 thou. tn yoy.
