Review of Cargo Handling in Klaipeda Seaport, at Butingės Terminal and Other Eastern Coast Baltic Seaports

Within the period of January – October of 2016 Klaipeda Seaport cargo handling turnover increased by 3,0 pct. to  33,27 mln tn, i.e.  more by 974,1 thou. tn comparing with the corresponding period of 2015.

Year-on-year changes of overall turnover  according to cargo types:

• Liquid cargo – 9 355,6 thou. tn were handled, +11,8 pct. or +989,4 thou. tn yoy;
• General cargo – 10 382,8  thou. tn were handled, +11,0 pct. or +1 031,5 thou. tn yoy;
• Dry and bulk cargo – 13 533,5 thou. tn were handled, -7,2 pct. or -1 046,9 thou. tn yoy.
