Klaipėda port announces the beginning of the new cruise season

This year the cruise season will begin on the 8th of May, 2005 with the call of vessel Delphin Renaissance, which will moor by the Cruise Vessel Terminal.
 
Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Aidas Gedvilas and Director of Lithuanian Tourism Department Alvitis Lukosevicius will participate in the inauguration of the new cruise season. Director General of Klaipeda State Seaport Authority Sigitas Dobilinskas, Harbour Master Viktoras Lukosevicius, Klaipeda City Mayor Rimantas Taraskevicius and other port as well as city related persons involved in cruise shipping will also participate in this event.
 
Cruise vessel Delphin Renaissance coming on Sunday is 180 metres long, 25 metres wide and has the draught of 6 metres. Name of captain is Luca Mandi. The vessel will bring 460 tourists. Agent of the ship is UAB Jūrų agentūra Forsa. Travel agency serving cruise vessel tourists, namely UAB Klaipėdos Mėja, will take the tourists to Nida, Klaipeda, Palanga for excursions. Later they will visit the old town of Klaipeda. The vessel before calling to Klaipeda will visit Gdansk and after the introduction to the places of interest in Klaipeda region the vessel will sail to Riga.
 
SE Klaipeda State Seaport Authority invites all mass media representatives to participate in this inauguration of the cruise season, that will take place in Cruise Vessel Terminal on the 8th of May (Friday), 2005 07:30 a.m.
 
P.S. the entrance to the terminal is through the bridge or through the main gates of AB Klaipėdos laivų remontas.
