Experimental shipment of oil from Venezuela in Klaipėda Port

On the 29th of August the oil tanker „Minerva Helen“ with the experimental oil shipment from Venezuela berthed at the quay of „Klaipėdos Nafta“.
On the 29th of August the oil tanker „Minerva Helen“ carrying 80 thousand tons of crude oil from Venezuela berthed at the quay No.1 rented by AB „Klaipėdos Nafta“.
The oil tanker, 243,56 metres in length, 42 metres in width and having a maximum 14,77 metres draught, operated by the shipping agency „WmH. Muller & Co„ delivered the experimental oil shipment designated to Byelorussian enterprise „ Naftan“. The oil was transhipped to the tanks of AB „Klaipėdos Nafta“ and carried to Novopolock ( Byelorussia) oil plant.
During the experimental transhipment technical possibilities to organise a regular shipment of such oil in large quantities via AB „ Klaipėdos nafta“ terminal were tested.
