On 29 April 2010, official delegation lead by the Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sergeevich Sidorsky, accompanied the representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania as well as the Director General of the Seaport Authority Eugenijus Gentvilas and the Director for Infrastructure and Development Vidas Karolis, visited Klaipėda Seaport.
The aim of the visit of the delegation – to learn about Klaipėda port activity, port development prospects, economic situation, business environment, possibilities of international cooperation.
During the visit at the Klaipėda Seaport, the members of the delegation lead by the Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sergeevich Sidorsky were taken on an excursion around the port waters by ship in order to enjoy panoramic sights of the port waters, during which the guests were introduced to Klaipėda port activity, economic indicators of the port, development prospects, capacities of stevedoring companies operating in the port, and specifics of terminals as well as anticipated port infrastructure projects in the Klaipeda Seaport.
