The maximum permitted draught alongside the transferred quays No .8 and No. 9 was increased up to 13.4 metres

On the 21st of February, 2013 subject to the Order of the Harbour Master the increased draught (maximum 13.4 metres) alongside the handover quays No. 8 and No. 9 was established.

The operator SC Klaipėda Stevedoring Company (KLASCO) handles general dry cargoes at these quays. The project of the object „Reconstruction of quays No. 8 and No. 9 planning the I, the II and the III construction stages in Klaipeda.

The II construction stage – reconstruction of the Southern part of quay No. 8 (90 metres).

The III construction stage – reconstruction of quay No. 9 (the Ist phase)“ was implemented by the contractor of the Seaport Authority the company „Josef Mobius Bau-Aktiengesellschaft“.

The contractual price was 24 037 622.83 Lt (including VAT). The total length of reconstructed quays No. 8 and No. 9 is 255 metres (90 metres and 165 metres respectively).
