Cargo handling turnover in Klaipeda Port in July of 2011 equaled to 3,5 million tons

With revised cargo handling data anew submitted by two terminals the overall cargo handling turnover   in Klaipeda Port in July of 2011 equaled to 3,5 million tons, i.e. more by 25,1% comparing with the corresponding period of the previous year (earlier 2,96 million of sea- born cargo, i.e. more by 21,6 percent comparing with July of 2010  were reported).

Throughout the period of  seven months of this year 21,46 million tons of sea-born cargo was handled in Klaipeda Port, the overall cargo handling growth rate was 23 % up on the corresponding period of the previous year.

The cargo handling turnover in Klaipeda Port reaching up to 3 million tons per monthhas been reported already for the fourth time in this year. Cargo handling turnover of other months was slightly lower, but some ten  thousand lacking tons  did not allow to reach the limit of 3 million tons.
