Accident in the port of Klaipėda

Today at 10:10 a.m. the port of Klaipėda nearby quay No. 81 at the company UAB Klaipeda Passenger and Cargo Terminal while transferring shale oil from one container to another on board vessel Flora, m/v “Karma” with heavy fuel from the tanker “Neris”, a small spill of liquid occurred.
After the spill of shale oil had been spotted, boom defense was installed and all the involved services were notified. Emission clean-up operation was completed by 13:20 p.m.
