PRESENTATION of the state-of-art software – Geo-information system and results of inquiry of cruise-vessel passengers in Klaipeda

Since 2005 SE Klaipėda State Seaport Authority takes part in the Project PORT-NET INTERREG III C financed by EU as a partner. Within the framework of this Project there was made a study „Challenges and future tendencies: Ports of Europe and passengers – Baltic region (Tallinn, Riga, Klaipėda and Kaliningrad)“ and for the first time there was organized an inquiry in Klaipėda port – an inquiry of cruise-vessel passengers in order to determine their expectations and general impressions.   

This study was made and the inquiry was organized by the company UAB „Sprinter tyrimai“. The director of this company Ignas Zokas will present the above study and the results of an inquiry.

 

Besides, since 2006 our company participates in the project INTERREG III B „EAST-WEST TRANSPORT CORRIDOR“ financed by EU as a partner. Within the framework of this Project UAB „Informacines technologijos“ extended a successfully implemented Ship Information System by functioning of Geo-information system that would allow to observe ship movements in the port on display.

During presentation Geo-information system will be demonstrated (GIS modulus).
