The Annual Republic‘s Media Representatives‘ Visit to the Port of Klaipeda

 

On Friday, September 5, 2008, the guests together with employees of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania will visit SE „Klaipeda State Seaport Authority“ (J. Janonio g. 24). The journalists will find out about the Klaipeda seaport‘s activities, opportunities, capacity and prospects for growth as presented by the managers of the Seaport Authority.

 

After the meeting at the Seaport Authority, the journalists will have a bus trip to a few of the port‘s companies: JSC „Vakarų laivų gamykla“ („Western Shipbuilding Yard“), „Klaipėdos konteinerių terminalas“ Ltd. („Klaipeda Container Terminal“), and JSC Klaipeda Steveadoring Company KLASCO (International Sea Ferry). Employees of the mentioned companies will acquaint  the guests with the activities of their companies.

 

Later on, a tour on a rescue boat „Šakiai“ will be organized (from the International Sea Ferry). The journalists will have a chance to see the port‘s aquatorium, the port‘s infra- and suprastructure, the Seaport authority‘s plans for the port‘s infrastructure imporvement and prospectives for the port‘s growth.
