On September 27, 2008 (Saturday), delegations from the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the People‘s Republic of China and China Development Bank will visit the port of Klaipeda led by the representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania.
On September 27, 2008, delegations from the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the People‘s Republic of China and China Development Bank will visit the port of Klaipeda. They will be led by the representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania. The visit‘s goal is to get acquainted with the Klaipeda seaport‘s activities, opportunities for cargo carriage and for the development of industrial-logistical activity.
At the site of Klaipėda‘s Free Economic Zone (Pramonės str. 8), the guest will be offred a joined presentation of the free economic zone (FEZ) and Klaipeda seaport‘s activity and opportunities. Klaipeda FEZ‘s Board‘s Head Povilas Vasiliauskas will acquaint the guests with the benefits offered by the FEZ in terms of industrial-logistical activity development, while the Marketing Director of the SE Klaipeda State Seaport Authority Artūras Drungilas will tell about the port‘s acrivity, its possibilities, capacity and development projects. After that, the guests will discuss current questions related to promoting co-operation.
In the afternoon, the guests will be invited for a boat trip around the port‘s aquatorium, so that they could see the port‘s companies, the port‘s infra- and supra-structures, and the Port Authority‘s infrastructure development projects.
