Delegation from Odessa Region at the Port of Klaipeda

On 8 October 2008, a delegation from Odessa Region (Ukraine) will visit the port of KlaipedaPurpose of the visit is to learn about the operations and activities, infrastructure, development prospects and logistics of Klaipeda port.
 
Representatives of the public and private business sectors from the region of Odessa (Ukraine) will come for an official visit in Klaipeda.  A bilateral international agreement on cooperation between the Administration of Head of Klaipeda County and Odessa Regional State Administration was signed on 18 October 2004.
 
              The main interest of the delegation representatives include acquaintance with Klaipeda, its economic situation, business climate, opportunities for international cooperation and investment.   
 
The activities of the delegation members is directly or indirectly related to transport and logistics, therefore, they are especially interested in the port of Klaipeda, its infrastructure and logistics, companies operating in the port and capacities and development prospects of the port.
 
On 10 October 2008 the delegation composed of 13 public and private sector representatives will be welcomed by Head of Marketing Department Kristina Gontier at the office of the State Enterprise Klaipeda State Seaport Authority (J. Janonio g. 24).  The visitors will be familiarised with the operations, opportunities, capacities and development prospects of the Klaipeda port and discuss current issues
 
After the meeting at the Port Authority, the delegation will be offered a bus tour to the largest stevedoring company in the ort of Klaipeda, AB Klaipeda Stevedoring Company (KLASCO). Representatives of this company will give presentation to the guests on the business, operations and prospects of the company.
