Chairmen of Lithuanian and Russian Intergovernmental Commission met in Palanga

On the 14th of May there was organized a bilateral meeting of the Chairmen of Lithuanian and Russian Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Vygaudas Usackas and Minister of Transport of Russia Igor Levitin where the planned meeting of IGC in September was discussed and the intentions to sign the agreements.
 
They talked at the meeting about the cooperation of Lithuania and Russia in the fields of energy, economics, law and discussed the matters connected with the demarcation of borders and infrastructure of border crossings, Lithuanian and Russian business and activities of confidence forums and other topical bilateral cooperation matters.
 
In Lithuania I. Levitin met the Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania  Eligijus Masiulis and Klaipėda port authorities, made a report at the conference that took place in Klaipėda University  „Baltic marine innovations forum“.
 
Prior to the press conference that was organized on the 15th of May in Old Port Hotel, the ministers V. Usackas and I. Levitin changed the notas concerning the agreement between the Governments of Lithuania and Russia on entering into force the navigation in the Curonian Lagoon in Lithuanian waters and Russian region waterways.
