Public Relation action Discover Klaipėda port is being continued

 

 

From 18^th July to 16^th August, 2009 on weekends SE Klaipėda state seaport authority is organizing one-hour sightseeing-introductory excursions around Klaipėda port waters onboard the vessel “Forelle” for Klaipėda citizens and visitors of the city. It is a public relation action Discover Klaipėda port, that has been started last summer attracted interest and received good responses of the public.

 

During this action citizens and guests of the city will have an opportunity to see the port terminals and to listen to presentation about the port made by a guide onboard of the vessel “Forelle”. The guests participating on the excursion will be awarded with port proficient‘s diploma, and the ones who will correctly answer to the guide’s questions will be awarded with souvenirs.

 

The action Discover Klaipėda port is aimed at direct and visual introducing of the public to Klaipėda port operations, potential and prospects, disclosing the economic-social advantages of the marine industry, particular features of marine community work and operations, making the port territory more open to the public, promoting consolidation of the seaport citizens and marine community.

 

The dissemination of information on the port to the public will contribute to image-formation of both Klaipėda port and Lithuania as a marine state as well as will perform educative functions. By this attractive idea Klaipėda port supports the proposal introduced last year by the European Commission – to organize open doors days in the ports by this way introducing the public with port performance.
