Representatives of Port Authority participated at APEC seminar „Port Management“

Arturas Gaidauskas, the Head of the Representative Office in the Republic of Belarus and Silvija Jonkuviene, the Deputy Head of the Marketing Department, on the 30th of November – 11th of December, 2009 advanced their knowledge at the training seminar „Port Management“ organized by Antwerp/Flanders Port Training Centre.
Representatives of this specialised seminar considered the latest tendencies of globalisation of port logistics, issues on cargo and goods warehousing and packing, administration of logistics chain, land access roads (connecting with ports), regulation of ship navigation and transportation of dangerous cargo, added value services, quality control and other relevant issues.
Guided visits to Antwerp, Zeebrugge and Ghent Port offices were anticipated during the seminar.
