Representative of the port Authority took part in the meeting of European Maritime Safety Agency

 

11 of February, 2010 the Head of Information technologies department Algimantas Žygus took part in the meeting of European Maritime Safety Agency  (EMSA) regarding „SafeSeaNet“ system that was held in Lisbon (Portugal).

 

This seminar – workshop regarding implementation of the European Parliament and Council directive 2009/16/EB on implementation of the port state control requirements in member states from 01-01-2011, was organized by European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).

 

Issues directly related to practical application of the system „SafeSeaNet“ for providing vessel arrival information were discussed during the seminar.
