Teleconference Vilnius–Odesa

On January 25, 2011 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania held a telekonference Vilnius–Odesa; Marketing and Administration Director Artūras Drungilas was among participants of the conference.
This teleconference was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania together with the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Kiev. Communication technologies enabled the real-time discussion and communication with the parties of Ukrainian (Odesa region) transport system – the representatives of ports, logistics companies, cargo forwarders and business associations.
The main issue of the telekonference – the transport corridor Baltic Sea – Black Sea and development of container train „Viking“ operations.
The aim of the event was to prepare an action plan in order to analyse the logistics system, taking into account new ferry lines, and to create favourable conditions for effective business contact system and to discuss the issue of further developemtn of transport corridors.
