Cargo handling in Klaipėda port in June of 2011

Handling volumes of oil products in June of 2011 made 935,6 thousand tons, the change is +30,9 percent or +220,7 thousand tons. Handling turnover of fertilizers in June of 2011 made 909,1 thousand tons, i,.e. more by 31,3 percent or by 216,8 thousand tons comparing with the corresponding period of 2010. Volumes of containerised cargo handling (calculating in TEU) were 34 555 TEU, i.e. more by 31,5 percent or by 8 279 TEU than during the corresponding period of 2010. In terms of tonnage the turnover of containerised cargo handling also jumped up. Calculating in tons the increase was 30,3 percent or 91,1 thousand tons, in total 392,0 thousand tons were handled comparing with the corresponding period of 2010.  377,2 thousand tons of Ro-Ro cargo, i.e. more by 6,2 percent, or by 21,9 thousand tons comparing with the corresponding period of the previous year were handled in June of 2011. Calculating in units 20 803 units of this cargo, i.e. more by 4,1 percent or by 810 units were handled comparing with June of the previous year.
Throughout June of this year 39 545 passengers, i.e. less by 10,0 percent, or by 4386 passengers than during the corresponding month of 2010 visited Klaipėda Port. In June of this year 6 146 cruise passengers, i.e. less by 3 217 cruise passengers or by 34,4 percent comparing with the corresponding period of 2010 called Klaipeda Port.

629 vessels, i.e. more by 14,2 percent or by 78 vessels comparing with the corresponding month of the previous year called Klaipėda port in June of 2011.
