Activity description
In eight specialized terminals (General cargo terminal, Bulk fertilizer terminal, Liquid fertilizer terminal, Grain terminal, Ro-Ro terminal, Container terminal, Offshore and Onshore wind terminal) KLASCO handles bulk, liquid and packed fertilizers, metal products, frozen cargo, grain and other agriculture products, and bulk construction materials as well. The company operates in three different areas in Klaipeda port (Northern Cargo terminal, Central Klaipeda terminal, Smelte peninsula).
KLASCO has started to handle containers in the newly built Container terminal, which is in Smelte peninsula. The same terminal is used to handle oversized cargo. KALSCO is the developer of the first offshore wind assembly and loading terminal, which is on the Smelte Peninsula. This terminal is one of the most advanced infrastructure projects in Klaipeda, dedicated to the development of renewable energy sources, and has an area of more than 20 hectares in the territory of the former International ferry port.
